Answer:

At first we have to multiply the co-efficient of x^2 with co-efficient of x^0 i.e, 3 × 6 = 18

After that,

factor of 18 = 2×3×3×1

Next,

with the help of all factor we have to find the the middle number i.e, 7

Next,

we can use any no. of times of multiplication but only one time of addition or subtraction

finally,

3×3 - 2× 1

= 9 - 2

= 7

3x^2 - 7x - 6 = 0

=> 3x^2 - (9x - 2x) - 6 = 0

=> 3x^2 - 9x + 2x - 6 = 0

=> 3x (x - 3) + 2 (x - 3) = 0

=> (x - 3 ) (3x + 2) = 0

Either,

x - 3 = 0

=> x = 3

or,

3x + 2 = 0

=> 3x = - 2

=> x = - 2/3

Answer:- (x = 3) & (x = - 2/3)
