x -  \frac{1}{x}  = 3 \\  \\  {x}^{2}  - 1 = 3 \\  \\  \\  {x}^{2}  = 3 + 1 \\  \\  {x}^{2}  = 4 \\  \\  \\ x = +   \sqrt{4}  \\  \\  \\  \\  \\ x =  -   2\\  \\  \\ x =  + 2


Hence,+2 and -2 are roots of this Quardratic Equation:-

x-1/X=3

x²-1=3x
x²-3x-1=0
using dharacharya method

x=(3(+-)√9+4)/2
which is the required answer
