ANSWER....

BY QUADRATIC FORMULA.......

 {x}^{2}   - 2x + 3 = 0 \\  \\ a = 1 \\ b =  - 2 \\ c = 3 \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - b +  \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - ( - 2) +  \sqrt{ {( - 2)}^{2} - 4(1)(3) } }{2(1)}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{2 +  \sqrt{4 - 12} }{2}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{2 +  \sqrt{ - 8} }{2}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{2 + 2 \sqrt{ - 2} }{2}  \\  \\ x = 1 +  i\sqrt{2}  \:  or \: 1 - i \sqrt{2}
