ABCD is a square of 14cm side. AOD and BOC are two semi circle​

Answer:

first it is given that side of square = 14 cm

now, we have to find area of square

area of square = side × side

area of square = 14 × 14 = 196sqcm

now see the figure carefully side of square is the diameter of the semicircle so

diameter of semicircle = 14 cm

radius of semicircle = 14÷2 = 7 cm

so now find the area of semicircle

area of semicircle = 1/2πrsquare

area of semicircle = 1/2 ×22/7 × 7×7

area of semicircle = 77sqcm

so there are 2 semicircle so we multiply the area by 2

so area of 2 semicircle = 2×77 = 154sqcm

so the area of shaded region = area of square - area of two semicircle

so area of shaded region = 196 - 154

so, area of shaded region = 42 sqcm
