Given :

A triangle with sides in the ratio 2:5:4 with perimeter 66cm.

To find :

We have to find the measures of sides of the mentioned triangle.

Solution :

Let the unknown constant be x.

Perimeter of a triangle = Sum of all sides of a triangle

==> 2x + 5x + 4x = 66cm

==> 11x = 66cm

==> x = 66/11

==> x = 6

Therefore, 2x = 2(6) = 12cm

5x = 5(6) = 30cm

4x = 4(6) = 24cm

Verification :

Perimeter of a triangle = Sum of all the sides of a triangle

==> 12cm + 30cm + 24cm

==> 66cm

Hence, verified !

Step-by-step explanation:

let ,sides are in ratio - 2x + 5x + 4x

perimeter =66

66=2x+5x+4x

66=11x

66/11=x

6=x

now, 2×6=12

5×6=30

4×6=24
