3 = 3/1 (understood)

4 = 4/1 (understood)

if u want 6 rational numbers in between, u have to multiply both of them ( numerator and denominator) with 7, so you can get 6 in between.

after multiplying you get,

3/1 x 7/7 = 21/7

and

4/1 x 7/7 = 28/7

u have now got the denominators equal and now can mention the six rational numbers you have got between them i.e.

22/7, 23/7, 24/7, 25/7, 26/7, 27/7.

so now you have got six rational numbers between 3  and 4.
