Given,

 \sf {x}^{2}  + 5x + 6 = 0

 \sf \implies {x}^{2}  + 2x + 3x + 6 = 0

 \sf \implies x(x  + 2)+ 3(x + 2) = 0

 \sf \implies( x+ 3)(x + 2) = 0

Therefore, either x+3=0 or x+2=0

Therefore,

 \sf x =- 3  \: or \: x = -2
