find SP when the MP is rupees 500 and discount is 20%

plzz give ans with method.....

Solution : MP = Rs.500   Discount =20%

Discount = 20%of MP

               = 20%of 500

               = Rs.100

SP  =  MP - Discount

     =  Rs. 500 - Rs.100

     =  Rs.400

Therefore , The Sp = Rs.400

SP =MPx(100-discount)÷100
=500(100-20)÷100
500x80÷100
=40000÷100=400
Therefore, SP=Rs400
