x2+7x+10
x2(5+2)x+10
x2+5x+2x+10
x(x+5)+2(x+5)
(x+2)(x+5)
let the zeroes be € and ¥
so €= -2
¥= -5
compare the above equation by ax2+bx+c
a=1, b=7, c=10
sum of zeroes = €+¥
-2+(-5)
-7

Hey mate !!

Here's the answer !!

Equation = x² + 7x + 10 = 0

Factorising the equation we get,

= x² + 2x + 5x + 10 = 0

= x ( x + 2 ) + 5 ( x + 2 ) = 0

=> ( x + 5 ) ( x + 2 ) = 0

=> x = - 2 , - 5

So sum of zeros are ( - 2 ) + ( - 5 )

= ( - 2 ) - 5

= - 7

Hope my answer helps !!

Cheers !!
