Answer:

If m and n be two rational numbers such that m < n then 1/2 (m + n) is a rational number between m and n.

Solution:

Required number = 1/2 (-5/7 - 2/3)

= 1/2 (-15 - 14)/21)

= {1/2 × -29/21)

= -29/42

Hence, -29/42 is a rational number lying between  - 5/7 and - 2/3

To find the nos. between -5/7& -2/3

we should make the denominator same

So, -15/21 & -14/21.

Since there no nos. between them multiply it by 20

=>-300/420 & -280/420

=>-281/420,-282/482,-283/420,-284/420.....-299/420
