Find th e probability of getting an even no.When a die is thrown once
Answers
Based on the assumption of having a 6 - sided die ,
S = { 1 ,2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 } there are 6 possibilities in our set , each number has a probability of 1/6
• S odd = { 1 , 3 , 5 } , • S even = { 2 , 4 , 6 }
each has a set of three possibilities
probability = # event / # total set
probability odd = 3/6 = 1/2 = 0.50 or 50%
probability even = 3/6 = 1/2 = 0.50 or 50%

A dice has six sides. Every side numbered as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. If we throw dice, any side of those numbers will be appeared.
Here we have 3 even and 3 odd numbers.
Probability of even number = (even numbers/total numbers) = 3/6 = 1/2 or 50%

If this is a standard six sided die, then then numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ,and 6 are all equally likely to appear.
Probability is the number of favorable outcomes divided by the total number of outcomes (good over all). Your favorable outcomes are 2, 4, and 6 because they are the even numbers. So your probability is 3/6 which reduces to 1/2 or 50%.
