We know :-
a = 4
last term = 254
d = 9 - 4 = 5 (common difference)
To find the 10 th term from the end of the A.P we will reverse the order
So now the A.P is as follows -
254,.........,19,14,9,4
a = 254
d = -5
last term = 4
a(10) = a + (n - 1)d
= 254 + (10 - 1)(-5)
= 254 + 9(-5)
= 254 - 45
= 209
