 \to nth Term = a + ( n - 1 )d

 \to 10th Term = 2 + 45

GIVEN :

AP : 2, 7, 12, ......

FIND :

10th term of an AP. (a_{10})

Solution :

We know that..

» a_{n} = a + (n - 1)d

Given AP is 2, 7, 12, ...

Here..

First term (a) = 2

Common difference (d) = a_{2}\:-\:a_{1}

=> 7 - 2 = 5

Number of terms (n) = 10

Now, put the values in above formula

a_{10} = 2 + (10 - 1)5

a_{10} = 2 + (9)5

a_{10} = 2 + 45

a_{10} = 47
