Hi ,

Sqrt 2 , sqrt 8 , sqrt 18 ..., is the given series.

sqrt 8 = sqrt ( 2 × 2 × 2 ) = 2 sqrt 2

sqrt 18 = sqrt ( 2 × 3 × 3 ) = 3 sqrt 2

Therefore ,

Series is ,

sqrt 2 , 2 sqrt 2 , 3 sqrt 2 , ... Is an A.P.

First term = sqrt 2

Common difference = a2 - a1

= 2 sqrt 2 - sqrt2

d = sqrt 2

nth term = an = a + ( n - 1 ) d

Here n = 10 ,

a = sqrt 2

d = sqrt 2

10th term = a10

= a + ( 10 - 1 ) d

= a + 9d

= sqrt 2 + 9 × sqrt 2

= 10 sqrt 2

Therefore ,

10th term in a given sequence

= 10 sqrt 2.

I hope this helps you.
