The 11th term of an A.P.(a_{11}) = 23

Step-by-step explanation:

The given AP are:

- 27, - 22, - 17, - 12, .........

Here, first term (a) = - 27, common difference (d) = - 22 - ( -27) = -22 + 27 = 5

and n = 11

To find, the 11th term of an A.P.(a_{11}) = ?

We know that,

The nth term of an A.P.,

a_{n} = a + (n -1)d

∴ The 11th term of an A.P.(a_{11})

= - 27 + (11 -1)5

= - 27 + (10)5

= - 27 + 50

= 23

∴ The 11th term of an A.P.(a_{11}) = 23
