here,

Common difference (d)=-3

Step 2:

Find 12th term from starting of 60, 57, 54, ..., 6, 3 is actually 12th term from end of A.P. 3,6,9...,60.

So,

$a_{12} = 60 + (12 - 1)( - 3)$

or

$a_{12} = 60 - 33$

or

$\bf a_{12} = 27$
