Given ,

First term = 14

Common difference (d) = 9 - 14 = -5

We know that , the nth term of an AP is given by

\sf \large \fbox{a_{n} = a + (n - 1)d}

Substitute the n = 12 in above the formula , we get

  \sf \mapsto a_{12} = 14 + (12 - 1)( - 5) \\  \\\sf \mapsto  a_{12} = 14 + 11( - 5) \\  \\\sf \mapsto a_{12} =  14 - 55 \\  \\\sf \mapsto a_{12} =  - 41

Hence , 12th term of the given AP is -41
