12th term of the AP = 25

Given :

The AP 3 , 5 , 7 , 9 , . . . .

To find :

12th term of the AP

Concept :

If in an arithmetic progression

First term = a

Common difference = d

Then nth term of the AP

= a + ( n - 1 )d

Solution :

Step 1 of 3 :

Write down the given progression

Here the given arithmetic progression is

3 , 5 , 7 , 9 , . . . .

Step 2 of 3 :

Write down first term and common difference

First term = a = 3

Common Difference = d = 5 - 3 = 2

Step 3 of 3 :

Find 12th term of the AP

12th term of the AP

\sf = a_{12}

= a + ( 12 - 1 )d

= a + 11d

= 3 + [ 11 × 2 ]

= 3 + 22

= 25
