Solution
Let us consider the last term as the first term as a
Using Arithmetic Progression Formula
a = 86
d = 2-6 = -4
a₁₅ = a + (n-1)d
= 86 + (15-1)(-4)
= 86 + (15)(-4)
= 86 – 56
= 30
a₁₅ = 30
Hence the 15th term from last in the AP 2,6,8, ……. 86 is 30.
