find the 31st term of an ap whose 11th term is 38 and 6 term is 73

Hey

To find out :- 31st term of an AP .

Given that :-
11th term = 38
6th term = 63

Now ,
a + 10d = 38 ----( i )
a + 5d = 73 ------( ii )

On subtracting both equations , we get ,

5d = -35
d = -7

So ,
a + 10(-7) = 38
a - 70 = 38
a = 108

Now ,
31st term = a + 30d
= 108 + 30(-7)
= 108 - 210
= -102
