find the 40th term of an A.P whose 12th term is 45 and 17th term is 80?

a40=?

a12=45 and a17=80

or. a+11d=45

and a+16d=80

by solving this equation

d=7 and a will be 45-77= -32

a40= a+39d

-32+39(7)

-32+273

a40=241
