Let a be the first term and d be the common difference.

Given that first term a = 5, common difference d = 14 - 5 = 9.

We know that sum of n terms of an AP sn = a + (n - 1) * d

Therefore the 5th term of the sequence s5 = 5 + (5 - 1) * 9

                                                                         = 5 + 4 * 9

                                                                         = 5 + 36

                                                                         = 41.

Therefore the 5th term = 41.

Hope this helps!
