Given:

The series - 4,8,16,.

To find:

The 7th term of the series

Solution:

First term = a =  4

Common ration = r =

8/4 = 2

Therefore -

an = ar^(n-1)

Substituting the values -

an = 4 × 2^(n-1)

an = 4 × 2^(7-1)

an = 4 × 2^6

an = 2². 2^6

an = 2^8

an = 256

Answer: The 7th term of the series is 256
