Hi friend!!

The given series is in geometric progression.

First term (a)=6

common ratio(r) =12/6=2

We know that

7th term = a× r^(7-1)

=a×r^6

=6×(2)^6

=384

I hope this will help you ;)

27jenny: Thank u dear ...this is absolutly correct acc. to ICAI CA FOUNDATION MODULE
DhanyaDA: My pleasure ^_^

Answer:

the 7th term of the series 6,12,24,.... is 384

Step-by-step explanation:

  • First term (a) = 6
  • Common ratio (r) = 12÷6 = 2
  • As the given series is in geometric progression,

      we know that, 7th term = a^{}×r^{7-1} = ar^{6}= 6×(2)^6 = 384

  • The general form of terms of a Geometric Progression Formulas is

       a, ar, ar^{2}, ar^{3}, and so on.

       Here, a is the first term and r is the common ratio.

  • The nth term of a Geometric Progression Formulas is T_{n} = ar^{n-1}
  • Common ratio = r = T_{n}/ T_{n-1}
