Find the 9th term from the end (towards the first term) of the A.P.-5,9,13,,,,,,,185.

to find the 9th term from last

so here a = 185

d = 5-9=-4

n = 9

a9 = 185+(9-1)(-4)

= 185 - 32

=

a=5. d=4. l=185

tn=a+(n-1)d
185= 5+(n-1)4
185= 5+4n-4
185= 9+4n
185-9=4n
176/4=n
44=n

9th term =(n-m+1)
=(44-9+1)
=(44-8)
9th term= 36

t9=5+(36-1)4
t9=5+140
t9=145
