Answer:

Given,

PR + QR= 50 cm

Let QR= x

PR + QR= 50 cm

PR= 50 - QR

PR= 50 - x

In right triangle PQR,

Using pythagoras theorem,

(hypotenuse)² = (height)²+ (Base)²

PR² = PQ²  + PR²

(50-x)² = 40² +

(50²) + x² - 2 × 50 × x = 1600 ×

2500 + x² - 100x = 1600 ×

2500 + x² - 100x - 1600 ×

x² -

-100x + 900 = 0

-100x = -900

x=-900/-100

x = 9 cm

Hence, QR=x=9

PR=25-x

       = 25 - 9

       = 16 cm

i)sin P

sin P= QR/PR

sin P= 9/16

ii) cos P

cos P= PQ/PR

cos P= 40/16

iii) tan R

tan R= PQ/OR

tan R= 40/9

Figure is given below:

It took a lot of time to solve it as I was making it understandable. :) Hope it helps you!
