Answer :

Displacement of object is given by

  • s = t³ + 4t

We have to find acceleration of object at t = 3s.

Instantaneous velocity :

In order to find instantaneous velocity, we have to differentiate the displacement equation with respect to time.

➝ v = ds/dt

➝ v = d(t³ + 4t)/dt

v = 3t² + 4

Instantaneous acceleration :

In order to find instantaneous acceleration, we have to differentiate the velocity equation with respect to time.

➝ a = dv/dt

➝ a = d(3t² + 4)/dt

➝ a = 6t

By substituting t = 3, we get

➝ a = 6(2)

a = 12 m/s²
