Explanation:

let the tension on block A be T

therefore

the tension on the string connected to block B will be 2T

for block A

T=2a

therefore

2T=4a. --------(I)

for block B

mg-2T=5a

now let acceleration of block A be a so acceleration of block b will be a/2

now substitute the value

5g-2T=5a/2. --------(II)

from eqn I and II we get 5g-5a/2=4a

solve it and you will get a = 10g/13
