Initial velocity u = 0 ( as the car starts from rest )

Distance s = 20m

Time t = 5 seconds

To find : Acceleration a :?

✨Using the second equation of motion,

$s = ut + \frac{1}{2} at {}^{2}$
Putting in values ,

20 = 0×5 + 1/2 × a × 5×5

20 = 0 + 1/2 a ×25

$\frac{1}{2} \times 25 \times a = 20 \\ \\ \frac{25}{2} a = 20 \\ \\ a = \frac{20 \times 2}{25} = \frac{40}{25} = \frac{8}{5} \\ \\ = > 1.6ms {}^{ - 2}$
