Most acidic: HF > H2O > NH3 > CH4 :Least acidic. 148. In oxyacids, the H is always bonded to one of the oxygens. The stronger acid has a greater tendency to give up its proton; therefore, the equilibrium will lie on the opposite side from the strongest acid.

Answer:

Explanation:

remove hydrogen from electronegative atom

so oh- , sh- , nh2- , ch3-

we know negative is stabilised by  -i effect only

more electropositive / less electronegative  atom satisfies the hungry of - charge

electronegative difference between o and h = 3.5-2.1=1.4

electronegative difference between s and h = 2.5-2.1=0.4

for more -i effect  less electronegative difference

so sh- has more acidic strength than  oh-

after nh2- has more  -i effect than ch3-

so order is h2s>h2o>nh3>ch4
