Find the altitude of a parallelogram whose area is 2.25 m and base is 250 cm

SOLUTION :


The area of parallelogram = 2.25 m   (given)

The base of the parallelogram = 250 cm = 250 ÷ 100 = 2.5 m   (given)


To be found :-

The altitude of the parallelogram


We know that,

Area of parallelogram = base × altitude

⇒ 2.25 = 2.5 × altitude

⇒ 2.25 ÷ 2.5 = altitude

⇒ 0.9 = altitude


Hence,

Altitude of the parallelogram is 0.9 m = 90 cm
