QUESTION :-

Find the altitude of a trapezium, the sum of the lengths whose bases is 6.5 cm and whose area is 26 cm².

ANSWER :-

8 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let "p" & "q" are the 2 parallel sides of a trapezium.

Given :

  • p + q = 6.5 cm

Let,

  • altitude = X cm

Area of trapezium (X) = 26cm²

=> 1/2 × (a + b) × X = 26

=> 26 × 2 / 6.6

=> 52/6.5

=> 8 cm

.°. Altitude of trapezium (X) = 8 cm.
