Given:

Principal (P) = ₹15,625

Rate% (R) = 4% p.a.

Time (n) = 3 years

To find:

Amount and Compound Interest

Formulas to be used:

amount = p(1 +  \frac{r}{100})^{n}

C.I. = Amount - Principal

Solution:

a = p(1 +  \frac{r}{100})^{n}

a = 15625(1 +  \frac{4}{100})^{3}

a = 15625( \frac{26}{25})^{3}

a = 15625 \times  \frac{26}{25} \times  \frac{26}{25} \times  \frac{26}{25}

A = 26×26×26

Amount = ₹17,576

C.I. = A-P

C.I. = ₹ (17,576-15,625)

C.I. = ₹ 1,951

Final answer:

The amount is ₹ 17,576 and the compound interest is ₹ 1,951.
