Answer:

(i)The amount of water displaced by a solid spherical ball = 11,498.66 cm^{3}.

(ii)The amount of water displaced by a solid spherical ball = 0.004851 cm^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

the amount of water displaced by a solid spherical ball = volume of the spherical ball

as volume of sphere = \frac{4}{3}\pi r^{3}

(i) given diameter = 28 cm

    now, d = 2r

           ⇒ r = \frac{d}{2}

           ⇒ r = \frac{28}{2}

           ⇒ r = 14 cm

∴ the amount of water displaced by a solid spherical ball = \frac{4}{3}\pi r^{3}

      = \frac{4}{3}\pi \left ( 14 \right )^{3}         ∵( π = 22/7 )

      =  11,498.66 cm^{3}

(ii) given diameter = 0.21 cm

    now, d = 2r

           ⇒ r = \frac{d}{2}

           ⇒ r = \frac{0.21}{2}

           ⇒ r = 0.105cm

∴ the amount of water displaced by a solid spherical ball = \frac{4}{3}\pi r^{3}

      = \frac{4}{3}\pi \left ( 0.105 \right )^{3}     ∵( π = 22/7 )

      =  0.004851 cm^{3}
