Find the amount of work done by a labourer who carries 10 bricks of 1 kg each to the roof of a house 5 meter high by climbing ladder.

To find: We have to find the work done.

Solution:

The work done can be given as-

W=mgh

Where m is the total mass which is equal to 10×1=10kg.

g is the gravitational force that is equal to 9.8m.s2.

h is the height of the roof of the house which is equal to 5 meters.

Putting the values in the above formula we get-

W=10×9.8×5

W=490J.

The work done by labour is 490J.
