Given :

Work done in bringing 2 C charge from  infinIty to A = 18 J

Work done in bringing 2 C charge from  infinty to B = 15 J

To find:

The amount of work done to transfer +Q coulomb of charge from A to B

Calculation :

We know the relation

 Work done = potential difference × charge

Case 1 :

=>  18 = V_(A) × 2

=>  V_(A) = 9 V

Case 2 :

=> 15 = V_(B) × 2

=>  V_(B) = 7.5 V

Amount of work required to transfer +Q coulomb of charge from A to B is

=> Work done = potential difference × charge

=> Work done =  [V_(B) - V_(A) ] × Q

=> Work done = (9-7.5) × Q

=> Work done = 2.5Q

The amount of work done to transfer +Q coulomb of charge from A to B is 2.5Q
