Given :-

• Ram having rupees = ₹4096

• Time issued to ram = 18 months

• Rate of Interest = 25%

Solution :-

According to the question,

Principal = 4096

Rate = 25% * 1/2

[ Per annum compounded half yearly ]

Time = 18 months

Time = 18/6 = 3 half years

[ Compounded half yearly ]

Here,

We have to find the amount ?

Now,

By using formula,

Amount ( A ) = P ( 1 + R/100)^n

A = 4096 ( 1 + 25/2 / 100 )^3

A = 4096 ( 1 + 25 /200 )^3

A = 4096 ( 1 + 1/8 )^3

A = 4096 ( 8 + 1 / 8 )^3

A = 4096 ( 9/8 )^3

A = 4096 * 9/8 * 9/8 * 9/8

A = 4096 * 729/512

A = 8 * 729

A = 5832

Hence, The amount he will get in Rs5832.

Formula kept in mind :-

• SI = P * R * T /100

• CI = P * ( 1 + R/100)^n years
