find the angle in this question. ( the angle are complementary and the smaller is 40 degree less than the larger.)

HERE'S THE ANSWER :-

let the larger angle be x.

smaller angle = x - 40°

ACCORDING TO QUESTION :-

x + x - 40° = 90°

2x = 90° + 40°

2x = 130°

x = 130/2 = 65°

so, larger angle = 65°

smaller angle = 65°- 40° = 25°
