hey the answer is .....

a) z = 180 - 30 = 150

x = 180 - 90 = 90

y = 90 + 30 = 120

x + y + z = 360

b ) z = 180 - 60 = 120

x =180-120 = 60

y = 180 - 80 = 100

x + y + z + w = 360

In figure A:

x=180-90=90° (linear pair)

z=180-30=150° (linear pair)

y=

180-(90+30)=30° { angle sum property of a triangle }

y=180-150=30°

In figure B

x=180-120=60°(linear pair)

y=180-80=100°(linear pair)

z=180-60=120°(linear pair)

w=

360-(60+120+80) { sum of angles is 360°}

360-260

=100°
