Answer

72°

Step-by-step explanation:

let the complement be x

so, the angle would be 4x

As they are complementry angles,

x+4x=90°

5x=90°

x=90/5

x=18°

4x=4(18)

4x=72°

Let the required angle be x.

then, its complement will be (90 - x)° .

A/Q :-

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  x = 4(90 - x) \\ \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   x = 360 - 4x \\ x + 4 x= 360 \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: 5x = 360 \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: x =  \frac{360}{5}  = 72°

Hence,

72° is that angle which is four times its complement whose measure is 18° .
