Answer:

Let x = the angle

180 - x = its supplement since supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees.

180 - x = 1/2 x

2(180 - x) = 2(1/2) x

360 - 2x = x

360 = 3x

120 = x

The angle is 120 degrees, and its supplement is 60 degrees.

The angle is 120°, and its supplement is 60° .

Given:

An angle is half of it's supplement.

To Find:

The angle.

Solution:

Let "X" be angle.

180 - X = it's supplement since supplementary angles add up to the 180 degrees.

=)  180 - x = 1/2 X

=)  2(180 - x) = X

=)  360 - 2x = X

=)  360 = 3X

=) 120 = X

Hence, the angle is 120° & its supplement is 60° .
