Step-by-step explanation:

(a) In the given figure, we are given 2 angles

which are 60° and 70°

And also , the angle adjacent to the right angle will also be a right angle ( linear pair of angles)

The total sum of angles in a four sided polygon is 360°

==> Therefore, 60° + 70° + x° + 90° = 360°

==> x° + 220° = 360°

==> X° = 140°

(b) In this figure, the angle beside the 70°. will be ( 180° - 70°) = 110° [ linear pair]

And there will two right angles , and we need to find x.

We know that angle sum of 5 sided polygon is 540°

==> 110° + 90° + 90° + (180 -x) + 120 °= 540°

==> 110° + 120 ° = x + 180°

==> x = 230° - 180°

==> X = 50°
