The required angle is 48°

Given problem:

An angle 75°

To find:

The angle whose complement is two-fifth the supplement of angle 75°

Solution:

Supplementary angles:

  • The pair of angle whose sum is 180° are known as Supplementary angles
  • Supplementary angle of an angle A is (180 -A)°

Complementary angles:

  • The pair of angle whose sum is 90° are known as Complementary angles
  • Complementary angle of an angle A is (90 -A)°

From above information,

The supplementary angle of 75° = 180° - 75° = 105°

Therefore, two-fifth the supplement of angle 75° = 2/5 of 105°

= 2/5(105) = 2(21) = 42°

Now find the complement of angle 42°

⇒ Complement of angle 42° = (90° - 42) = 48°

Therefore, the required angle is 48°
