To find : the angles which is 2/3 of its supplement.

let x and y be the two angles .

given : they are supplementary  angles

i.e.  x + y = 180^{0}    -------------------------------(i)

one angle  is supplement to 2/3 of it supplement

let x be 2/3 of angle y

i.e. x = \frac{2 y }{3}            -------------------------(ii)

substituting value of x in (i)

\frac{2y}{3}  + y = 180

\frac{2y + 3y}{3} = 180

5y = 540

y = 108^{0}

now substituting value of y in (ii)

x =\frac{2 \times 108}{3}

x = \frac{216}{3}

x = 72^{0}

thus supplementary angles are   x = 72^{0}   and y = 108^{0}
