In ∆ABC,

angle ACD is exterior angle

→ 50° + x° = 120°

→ x = 120 - 50

→ x = 70°

In ∆ABC,

By Angle Sum Property

50° + x° + y° = 180°

50° + 70° + y° = 180°

y° = 180° - 120°

y = 60°
