We need to factories :-
- 2x² - 5x + 3 = 0
By splitting the middle term
⇒ 2x² - 2x - 3x + 3 = 0
Taking Common,
⇒ 2x [ x - 1 ] - 3 [ 1 - 1 ] = 0
Taking Common again
⇒ [ x - 1] [ 2x - 3 ] = 0
Hence , factorised :-
- Quadratic polynomial : x² + ( sum of roots ) x - product of roots
- Roots of quadratic equation : x = - b ±√b² - 4ac/2a
- sum of roots : - coefficient of x/coefficient of x²
- Product of roots : constant term/ coefficient of x²
