Step-by-step explanation:

let the sides of rectangle be 4x and 3x

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

by putting the value of sides we get

2(4x+3x)=84

14x=84

x=84/14

x=6

then it's sides are respectively=4×6=24

3×6=18

area of rectangle=l×b

24×18= 432 cm^2

Given:-

  • Ratio's of two adjacent sides of rectangle is 4:3.
  • Perimeter of rectangle is 84 cm.

To find:-

  • Length of its all sides.

Solution:-

Let,

The adjacent sides of triangle be 4x and 3x.

Length = 4x

Breadth = 3x

We know that,

 \large \boxed{ \sf Perimeter \: of \: rectangle = 2(l+b)}

In which,

  • l is length of rectangle.
  • b is breadth of rectangle.

Perimeter of rectangle = 84 cm.

So,

⇒ 84 = 2 × (4x + 3x)

⇒ 84 = 8x + 6x

⇒ 84 = 14x

⇒ 84/14 = x

⇒ 6 = x

Or, x = 6

Length = 4x = 4×6 = 24cm.

Breadth = 3x = 3×6= 18 cm.

 \large \boxed{ \sf Area \: of \: rectangle = l \times b}

In which,

  • l is length of rectangle.
  • b is breadth of rectangle.

So,

 \implies \sf 24 \times 18

 \implies \sf \: 432

Therefore,

Area of rectangle is 432 cm².
