\large\underline{\underline{ \sf \maltese{\:Given:-}}}

➺the difference between the bases if two buildings = 15cm

➺heights of the buildings are 10 and 18 cm respectively

\large\underline{\underline{ \sf \maltese{\:To \:Find::-}}}

➺distance between the heights of the buildings

\large\underline{\underline{ \sf \maltese{\:Solution:-}}}

➺now let the distance of their hieghts be x cm

so, to find the unknown distance we use:-

\blue{ \boxed{ \purple{ \mathfrak{pythogoras \: therom}}}}

which is:-\blue{ {side}^{2}  +  {base}^{2}  =  {hieght}^{2} }

let's start:

so,

⇒base=15cm

⇒side=8cm

⇒height = xcm

    \sf: ⟹  {s}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}  =  {h}^{2} \:  \:  \:   \\  \\  \sf : ⟹   {8}^{2}  +  {15}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  \\  \\   \sf : ⟹ 64 + 225 =  {x}^{2}  \\  \\ \sf   : ⟹ 289 =  {x}^{2}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\   \sf : ⟹ x =  \sqrt{289}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \sf  : ⟹ x = 17m \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

 \blue {\underline{ \boxed{  \orange{ \sf{ \therefore \: the \: distance \: between \: the \: heights = 17m}}}}}

hope this helps.!
