Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given- x-1 & x+2 are the factors of given polynomial

Therefore 1 & -2 are the zeroes of the given polynomial.

Putting x=1 in the polynomial

2 (1)^3+m (1)^2+n (1)-14=0

=m+n-12=0

=m+n=12

Now putting x= -2

2 (-2)^3+m(-2)^2+n (-2)-14=0

= 4m-2n-30=0

= 4m-2n=30

Dividing by 2

=2m-n=15

Using elimination method

2m+2n-2m+n=24-15

= 3n=9

= n=3

m+n=12

=m+3=12

=m=12-3

=m=9

Thus m=9 & n=3
