From the figure we know that ∠AOB is a straight line

So we get

∠AOB = 180°

It can also be written as

∠AOC + ∠COD + ∠BOD = 180°

By substituting the values

(3x – 7)° + 55° + (x + 20)°= 180°

3x – 7°+ 55° + x + 20° = 180°

On further calculation

4x + 68°= 180°

4x = 112°

By division

x = 28°

By substituting the value of x we get

∠AOC = (3x – 7)° = 3(28°) – 7°

On further calculation

= 84°– 7°

By subtraction

= 77°∠BOD = (x + 20)° = (28 + 20)°

By addition

= 48°
